Homage to the Three Jewels

I bow respectfully to all directions of space, all realms, past, present and future, to the ten directions, to all Buddhas, to the honored Dharma, and to the enlightened Sangha, the permanent three treasures.

I bow respectfully to the Master of the Samsara world, our own teacher Shakyamuni Buddha, to the future coming Maitreya Buddha, to the Great Love, Great Compassion Amitābha Buddha, to the Great Compassionate Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, to Great Wisdom Manjushri Bodhisattva, to the Great Vow Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, to Great Effort Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, to the Great Power Mahāsthāmaprāpta Bodhisattva, to the Dharma Protector Bodhisattvas, and to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas assembling at the Great Holy Mountain.

I bow respectfully to the principal disciple Venerable Mahākāśyapa, to the wise Venerable Śāriputra, to the pious Venerable Maudgalyāyana, to the master of the Vinaya Venerable Upali, to the devoted Dharma guardian Venerable Ananda, to leader of the Bhiksuni order Venerable Mahaprajapati, and to all ancestors of past, present and future.
